Hello! I’m Alex, a pediatric occupational therapist. I received my Bachelor of Science at Corban University and then travelled all the way to New York where I graduated with my Masters in Occupational Therapy from Clarkson University. I grew up in the Portland area and love being able to serve this community!
As a pediatric therapist I have worked with children of all ages and abilities and believe in a child-led and play based approach. I am passionate about educating, providing a listening ear, and being an advocate for children and their families. I take special interest in emotions, behaviors, and sensory processing. I have received training in interoceptive awareness, co-regulation, trauma informed care, and am currently in the process of obtaining my Primitive Reflex Clinical Specialist Certification.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family, hitting up local estate sales, dabbling in my latest hobby obsession (currently furniture flipping), and playing volleyball with friends.
Alex serves the close-in Metro east side of Portland and holds Oregon state licensure as well as American Occupational Therapy Association certification and membership.
Brittney LaCalli is an Oregon native who graduated from Portland State University with a B.S. in Psychology and Communications after which she received her Associates of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy from Linn-Benton Community College.
She has experience working with children in an outpatient setting, the geriatric population in memory care, acute care, and home health. She chose Occupational Therapy because of the holistic approach it takes towards therapy. She believes that ‘regulation before expectation’ should be an integral part of therapy.
Brittney believes in therapy that promotes functional skills that will bring increased ease to children’s everyday life. She utilizes a strengths-based approach towards therapy as she has seen the most progress through this approach. She believes that through support, connection, and open communication, children and families can rise to their full potential.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, being with her family, reading, listening to podcasts, and caring for her pets.
Brittney's treatment area includes the greater Salem area, outlying rural areas, Corvallis, and Albany
Hi, I’m Jordan Goddard- a Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant. I have been a COTA for the past 5 years working in outpatient pediatrics. I completed my undergrad at Portland State University and then received my degree from Linn Benton Community College.
Through my internships I received additional training and education in assistive technology and how to use these tools with non-speaking and limited mobility children to access play, social engagement, and engage in daily activities. I also have pursued speciality training through continuing education and mentorship in working with children with feeding difficulties including preventing or addressing picky eating, transitioning from tube feeding to solids, and general oral motor concerns. I’ve also received training in primitive reflex integration, aquatic therapy, trauma informed care, and handwriting.
Recently, I have begun studying the therapeutic benefits of free active play in nature and want to complete more outdoor therapy and educate families on getting outside with their children. I believe in a child led approach to care and believe that their interests matter for engaging in the goals we are working towards.
Outside of OT, I love spending time with my husband, our new baby boy, and 3 dogs. We like to travel around Oregon in our VW van going camping, hiking, and paddle boarding on the weekends.
Hi, I’m Mandy Martini, and I’m a Pediatric Occupational Therapist who has been working in the field for 11 years, with the last eight years in pediatrics.
I received my Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, and practiced in Washington state and California before moving to Oregon two years ago.
I have worked in clinics, schools, and home- and community-based settings and have a passion for working with kids and families in the environment where they spend most of their time or where they are experiencing challenges. My most recent trainings have focused on providing trauma-informed care, neurodiversity-affirming practices and strengths-based approaches, working with individuals with a PDA profile (Pathological Demand Avoidance or Persistent Drive for Autonomy), responsive feeding techniques, building interoceptive awareness, and parent education and coaching around co-regulation and sensory supports.
I believe strongly that children (and all people!) can only learn when feeling safe, secure, and regulated, and this drives my therapeutic process. I follow my client’s lead and build in learning opportunities at their pace and as their nervous system allows. Therapy is a tool to develop strategies and supports for children and families that can involve modifying the activities or environments, in addition to building skills for the child or personal supports. I believe strongly in building a better world that is more accessible to people of all abilities!
Outside of work, I enjoy chasing after two very active boys with my husband both on the sports field and while exploring this beautiful state. I love to read, travel, volunteer in my community, and run. I’m currently training for my first marathon!
My treatment areas include the Greater Salem area, Monmouth, Independence, and Dallas.
Hi, I’m Stephanie Vance- a Pediatric Occupational Therapist. I have been an OT for the past 7 years working in outpatient pediatrics. I received my Bachelor of Science at University of Oregon and then moved to Austin, TX where I graduated with honors with my Masters in Occupational Therapy from University of St. Augustine.
Through my internships I received additional training and education in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and working with infants, toddlers and children with feeding difficulties. I’ve continued this specialty training to help support breast and bottle feeding infants, transitioning to solid food and preventing or addressing selective eating. I’ve additionally received further training in primitive reflex integration, Neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT), assistive technology, aquatic therapy, and trauma informed care.
Overall, my true passion lies with empowering and educating patients and their families. I believe in child-led and play-based therapy because a child’s voice and opinion matters. I want their occupational therapy sessions to be a highlight of their week and to be engaged in the goals we are working towards.
Outside of work, I prioritize spending my time with my husband, our baby boy and our corgi. We recently moved out of Portland to the Newberg-Dundee area to enjoy a slower pace of life including lots of walks in the park, drives to the beach and visits in the backyard with family
Stephanie's treatment area includes McMInnville, Newberg, Sherwood, King City, Tualatin, and Tigard
